The last thing I have to do for my senior project is finish my binder. Our binder has to have everything that we did the whole year that dealt with our senior project. There are a lot of things that have to go into this binder so it is a little stressful finding everything and putting it in the binder. I never noticed how many papers and things were involved in our project and it will be nice to get everything in my binder so I will not have to worry about it anymore.
As we are coming to an end of our senior project, I look back on my experience and I an very happy that I was given this opportunity. I didn't like the stress of the whole project but I realize that it is a very good opportunity to get in high school because I was able to learn a lot and it helped me decide on what I wanted to do in college. I am very nervous and excited about giving the judges and community my presentation because it will be nice to show everyone what I learned but I don't want to mess up. After I give the speeches to the judges and community I will be finished with my entire senior project.
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, I was able to watch all of my classmates speeches and help them by saying what they did good and what they needed to work on. I also liked that I was able to do this because I was able to get some ideas that I could use off of their presentations.
On Monday, April 17, I did my presentation for the first time. I was very nervous because it was the first time I had to do this in front of a lot of people. I thought I did good for my first time giving this presentation but I knew I could do better. Our class had to fill out evaluation sheets to tell me what I needed to work on and what I did a good job on. I made the needed amount of time but I knew I talked very fast so I needed to slow down the next time I do it. I am happy that we are close to the end of our senior project. I have to give this presentation 3 more times so they will all be good practice.
To end my senior project, I will have to give a eight to ten minute presentation on my project. I am a little nervous about doing this because it is a huge part of my grade for my senior project and I want to do good. On Wednesday, April 12, we will have half of a day to work on our presentations and I hope I will be able to get a lot done then so I don't have to worry about it later! We will have to do these presentations in front of our class, judges, and the community so we will have to give them 3 times. After the presentations are over, we will be done with our projects and it will be nice to have a few extra things to do lifted off your shoulders.
Now that we are finished with shadowing, we are starting to come to the end of our senior projects. I am getting all the final papers that we need signed and putting everything in my binder. We just had to do our Mentor Evaluation forms and I was happy that both my mentors gave me all fives and said I was great to work with. Doing this project has taught me a lot about the profession of pharmacy and also time management skills. You have to know what you need to get done and how long you have to do it. I really enjoyed doing my senior project so far although I know many students do not. I am very glad my school offers us this chance to learn more about something we might have not ever got the chance to.
